Alison Vaughn grew
up near 7 Mile Road and Wyoming on Detroit’s northwest side. Her
father died when she was ten and she was raised by her mother,
Betty, who instilled a sense of pride and a strong work ethic.
Alison worked hard and got
her degree from Michigan State University and studied further at
Yale University. She worked for United Airlines for over fifteen
years. In 2000, Alison founded “Jackets for Jobs”, a non-profit
organization that has helped over 4,000 low-income men and women
learn career skills and job preparation necessary to succeed in the
workplace. This high-profile organization has been applauded and
supported by:
Oprah Winfrey
The Today Show
The Apprentice with Donald Trump
The View with Barbara Walters.
Alison
has seen first hand the problems of poverty and the lack of jobs
that has harmed the quality of life in the district. Lansing is a
source of solutions, but only for lawmakers who show up and vote on
behalf of their constituents. In the past 5 years, the incumbent, Irma
Clark-Coleman has missed 340 votes on vital issues to district.
If you don’t vote, you don’t count and currently the 3rd
District doesn’t count in Lansing.
With all of our problems,
there are 340 good reasons
to vote for a new Senator.
Alison
Vaughn is the only candidate with a
“VOTE
BACK GUARANTEE”.
If she
doesn’t
vote 99% of the time,
she
will give you back your vote and resign.
